Wireless doorbells are perfect for rented places or as extras for large houses

The world is increasingly becoming wireless and it is not surprising that even common households items like doorbells are going wireless. The traditional wired doorbell is wired into the electrical system of the house directly. When a visitor presses the button at the door, a chime sounds out inside the house. Wireless doorbells eliminate the necessity of wiring internally in the walls and can be installed with greatest of ease with the minimum of tools. The receiver can be placed in any area of the house which is within the range of the transmitter.
Most wireless door bells are battery-operated although the plug-in varieties are also readily available. Both offer equal ease of installation and the existing wiring, if any, need not be done away with. With the plug-in type, only the power cord needs to be inserted into any power point. The battery-powered ones may require periodical replacement of batteries. The chime box receiver can be placed anywhere in the house as long as the area is within the transmission range of the transmitter.

Nowadays, advanced models mean that longer range of wireless models is available which gives greater flexibility of placement of the chime box. Nutone door chimes, Westminster chimes are all superior brands of wireless doorbells with a variety of transmission ranges available. Some chimes are equipped only to emit the standard tones while others can be customized to emit any favourite songs or tunes or any other distinctive notes.

Wireless doorbells are the perfect solution for those living in rented apartments or houses or are disinclined towards spending much on new wiring. They are also apt for large houses and can be easily used as additional doorbells in lieu with the existing wired ones in order to cover larger portions of the house.
